@addons_zz Iâve manage to get there, but what information should I take from it?
Update 1: I tried to install version 3114 and⊠same problem!
Update 2: After I did a registry cleaning with CCleaner, Sublime 3124 is âworkingâ for a while. No crashes yet.
Update 3: Nevermind, after I close it and open it again, ST3 crashed.
Big issues on OSX. Sublime crashed immediately on startup so I followed instructions and wiped every last drop off my computer including all configurations, packages and other meta files.
After a truly fresh install, opening certain text files Iâve opened 1000 times before sends the CPU to 100% and Sublime becomes unresponsive.
I am using ruby-slim, sass, better coffeescript plugins only. No other configurations beyond defaults.
This is a tragedy.
Ghost Text package has stopped working a long time ago for me,
I filled a bug today: https://github.com/GhostText/GhostText/issues/86

> FOR THOSE WHO ARE STUCK,PLEASE ACCESS THE FOLDER UPDATE AND RUN THE PREVIOUS VERSION OF SUBLIME TO KEEP UP THE WORK.
Sublime is pretty smart to keep the last version (before the update) in the pc so we can still get things done! Please check:
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Local\Sublime Text 3\Update
or
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Sublime Text 3\Update
Click on sublime_text.exe, ignore the update message and start working!
Update 01:
@wbond - itŽs only freezing in my regular user, when acessing sublime from Admin user it works normally. Check that in your enviorment. Here we have regular accounts and the network admin can access and install softwares⊠so, we can not access the as admin to work. Thanks!

May you look into the Security and Maintenance control panel to see if you find something about Sublime?
Try to make your sublime portable, as mime is. To do that, just download the sublime portable on http://www.sublimetext.com/3. And unzip/place it on a different Partition other than âC:â as, D:\
. I think that your âDesktopâ folder should be enough also.
And copy your settings, i.e., one of this folder contexts on:
Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/Sublime Text 3/
Windows:
C:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\Sublime Text 3\
Linux:
~/.config/sublime-text-3/
To the Data
folder where the Sublime Text
executable file is located on. (sublime_text.exe for windows, sublime_text for linux). If the data folder does not exists, create one. Sublime Text detects the Data
folder existence automatically and to starts in portable mode if the Data
folder exists together the application executable file.
Could users experiencing hangs try the portable version in a location like their Desktop, using their normal user?

Just so you know that today it hasnât crashed once yet, and I donât know why.
@wbond Portable version seems fine!
So, might be a windows problemâŠ
Thanks anyway.
At home I use Linux, but have not tested the new version yet.
Cheers!
I have the same issue since the update.
However i was able to trace the issue on to the new feature of show_definitions.
While it works on my custom functions, sublime crashes as soon as i hover over a mocha or chai function.
A simple fix to stop it from crashing was to disable the setting.
Hope this helps someone.
If this happens again, you may start playing with the Sublime Text Program folder access restrictions on those folders bellow:
With these folders, if they exist:
%APPDATA%\Roaming\Sublime Text 3
%APPDATA%\Local\Sublime Text 3
C:\Program Files\Sublime Text 3
C:\Program Files (x86)\Sublime Text 3\
I am not sure if only this setting I am setting will be enough, so you may see the other tabs.
Hi,
Also having issues since the update.
It starts out fine but gradually grinds to a halt.
Donât know if itâs relevant but opening up Task Manager shows Sublime.exe starting out with 1 instance. Over time, even if Iâm not using it at all, the number of instances grows.
After about 4 or 5 instances it becomes sluggish. Beyond that, itâs practically unresponsive.
Please try dev build 3125 and see [Solved] High CPU Usage in Beta 3124 for more info.
For me here kept the same thing⊠on the dev version asked the license first and I did not even had the chance to add it:
We havenât yet reproduced the issue you are seeing, so dev build 3125 doesnât address that. 3125 deals with the JavaScript syntax interactions with the MarkdownEditing and Jade packages, along with tweaks to the indexer processes.
It seems as though there is something going on with Windows 10 and sublime_text.exe
. It seems as though it is some sort of a permissions issue since running as Administrator seems to fix it, and running a Portable install helps. Iâve tried to reproduce the issue on my Windows 10 VM, but have not been able to yet.
If you donât mind doing a little legwork, you could try stepping back through the releases on https://www.sublimetext.com/3dev until you find one that doesnât freeze. That may help us in determining what could be causing the issue.
