Windows Jump List not working after switching to Sublime Text 4

Hello,
I have the following problem after switching from ST3 to ST4 (Build 4107):

When I open any file, whose file extension was previously assigned to ST3, then these files do not show up in the jump list for ST4 in the Windows taksbar.
Interestingly, if I open any file of an extension that was not previously assigned with ST3, then the file correctly appears on the jump list.

This is how I switched to ST4:

  1. I uninstalled ST3 and also removed its %AppData%/… folder
  2. restarted my PC.
  3. I installed ST4.
  4. I restarted my PC again.

I have already looked at this post:

However, the solution given there does not work for my problem.

Here is what I have tried so far:

  • Remove all files in Recent\AutomaticDestinations, Recent\CustomDestinations and Recent
  • Assign the extensions to a different application, restart my PC, assign it to ST4 and restart again.
  • Remove Sublime Text 3 from the PATH environment variable and add Sublime Text 4 instead.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this?

I have encountered the same problem. I tried several things:

  • Open .sublime-menu/.sublime-settings files. These files now has appeared in recent items.
  • Set ST4 as default for .py/.txt/.pptx files, and open .py/.txt/.pptx files. These files does not show up.
  • Set ST4 as default for .md files, and open .md files. These files now has appeared in recent items.

It seems that only certain file extensions have this problem.
