Since Sublime Text 3 final, a wildcard icon ‘/*’ is used for all files.

‘/’ has an established meaning: all files in a directory. This is confusing when shown beside a single file in a tree view like in ST3. '/’ has never been used as a file type AFAIK. Nearly everyone else uses a blank document to show an unknown file type.
