Markdown collapsible headings. Possible new user

#1

Hello.

I am considering using SublimeText for managing some markdown files. I’ve never used SublimeText.

Has SublimeText any kind of plugin to highlight Markdown syntax and to recognize and make collapsible things like headings and so on?

I am more interested in raw Markdown or GitHub Flavored Markdown (help.github.com/articles/github … d-markdown), but it is not important.

Oh, and by the way, what does it mean the text “There is currently no enforced time limit for the evaluation” in sublimetext.com/2 ? I mean, I would pay for the program, no doubt. But if I didn’t, what would it happen?

Looking forward to your answers.

How can I highlight hashtags and other special structures?

I reply to myself.

I’ve seen this other post here: SmartMarkdown

It seems that SmartMarkdown is THE plugin I am looking for.

Anyway, any other piece of advice, any other suggestion to a new user like me??

I’d recommend taking a look at the course on net tuts (link) if you haven’t already. Some of the things are targeted towards web development, but since the videos are broken up, you can skip those. It covers a handful of features/plugins you may find useful.

In 2024 the latest/greatest Markdown plugin with this feature is called “MarkdownEditing”. The one you want for Python is Anaconda. I only have to change a couple settings (turn on autolinting) and it does everything I need for Python dev.
