Dropdown Menus and Keybindings

Now I’ve got some keybindings back and the kebindings for the drop down menus, I thought I’d look for the commands that drop down the menus (eg Tools, View, Find, etc) by searching for the keybinding in the default keybindings, but they don’t show up.

alt+t, alt+e, alt+g all work, I’d like to know the commands so I can drop down Find, Project & Preferences please ?

There aren’t commands for those; that’s just the Native OS responding to Alt plus a menu mnemonic and triggering that menu opening. For example the i in Find in the main menu is a mnemonic (i.e. it’s underlined), so Alt+i triggers the menu to open at that location.

Keeping Track of Edits to Default Settings

The User folder keeps all your modifications in, remove it and you’ve got a freshly installed state (for ST3). Pop a copy of that User folder into another version of ST3 say on a different computer and voila, you have the same settings on both machines… I’ve had to delete some default keybindings because they were interfering with other bindings, (following this link and this link ) Is there anyway of keeping track of these modifications (other than writing them down on pen and paper) as they…
