Your copy of sublime is not registered message, even though I've registered it

#1

I use Sublime Text 3 on Mac.

I constantly get message that says, “Your copy of sublime is not registered message, even though I’ve registered it…”

The pop ups go away if I close them, but they keep coming. It is really disruptive to my work flow. I paid $70 for the license, and added the key. I still get the messages.

I have removed the application, reinstalled it, put in the key and still get the same errors.

Please help!

Make sure the purchase alert is for the product you purchased. Sometimes users confuse paid package popups with the one for Sublime Text itself.

If Sublime Text has a valid license file, you’ll see an entry for Remove License in the Help menu.

There is a valid license, because I have clicked remove file and then added it back again also. I’m still getting issues.

Could this be a leftover thing from when I tested it before I bought it?

Where are all files located?

Can you take a screenshot of the license popup you are seeing?

The popup with the text “Your copy of Sublime Text is not registered and may be in violation of corporate software policies.” is not part of Sublime Text, to my knowledge.

The section “may be in violation of corporate software policies” makes me think the company you work for has some sort of license management software. This is reinforced by the part "ASAP or the application will be deleted." Sublime Text does not have functionality to delete itself from your computer.

Have you checked with your IT department?
