How about creating a wrap which will pop up any selected code? This would be an idea when working with large amount of code and being able to focus on a small portion.
By selecting code and using a key combination a wrap pops up. Changes can be applied inside the wrap and by clicking outside it, the wrap will be closed and changes saved.
