How can I specify the search function in ST3? For example, I want to search for the word ‘he’. Of course, when I do that, sublime finds all instances of he together, and so returns results with the, reached, when, coherent, and so forth. Is there a symbol I can add in my search bar that searches for he as its own, distinct word?

You can always search with regex, for your example \bhe\b will find only the isolated ‘he’ instances.

That’s strange, that didn’t work for me, but I discovered on the toolbar to the left after asking the question that there is a specific whole word search. I clicked on it and presto! it worked.
