Wildcard selection

i have 1000s of lines like this
<font color="#A82F2F"><font size="2">(11:36:33 AM)</font> <b>Farh:</b></font>

and this

<font color="#16569E"><font size="2">(6:48:18 AM)</font> <b>bart:</b></font>

I want to reduce the 1st set of lines to just “Farh” and 2nd set to just “bart”

I dont know how to run the wildcard find and replace. can you help me ?

Just use regular expression find and replace:

find: ^.+?<b>(\w+).+?$
replace: \1

Tweak it if it isn’t exactly what you want, but hopefully that gets you what you want or close to. Regular expression is super powerful, and I personally thing a must have skill to learn.
