Why do some of my files refuse to reflect my settings?

#1

This is probably a noob problem. I’ve installed MarkdownEditing and I’ve set it up just fine, so that all new files correctly appear under the syntax and color scheme settings I select for the session. But when I save, and re-open in a new session, my .md files appear in a grey scheme similar to Byword. My guess is this has something to do with a previous install of a previous versions of MarkdownEditing, which aimed for a Byword-like style.

But the basic problem is my .md files insist on keeping this Byword style and refuse to adjust to any of my user-specific settings selections. Does anyone know what I can do? And by the way, this is not solved by fiddling at all with the setting View -> Syntax -> Open all with current extension as…"

Thanks in advance!
