When you start the Sublime Text for the first time there’s no way to open Side Bar with Ctrl+K, Ctrl+B
. The option is grayed out in the menu and to make it work you have to choose Show Open Files
first. Only then Ctrl+K, Ctrl+B
becomes available and remains so until you Hide Open Files
. My question is why does this Show\Hide Open Files
thing even exist, what’s the point of it? Doesn’t it simply over-complicate things? What am I missing here?
PS Okay, I’ve noticed that Hide Open Files
could be quite useful when you have some folder/project opened and don’t want to get distracted by anything else, but I still don’t understand why does this Show\Hide Open Files
thing interfere with Ctrl+K, Ctrl+B
(Show/Hide Side Bar).
