Sorry if the answer is obvious, I’m brand new to linux. Like downloaded it yesterday brand new. Don’t have a licence yet if that changes what version to download, trying this as a possible alternative to VS code because of all the forced AI ‘features’ in that.
I’m using the cinnamon version, 22.3
Thanks in advance for any help!
Which version to download for linux mint?

The official way to install it is by following the repository instructions for your distribution (Mint uses apt): https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/linux_repositories.html. Since you don’t have a license you’re limited to using the stable channel.

Since Linux Mint is based directly on Ubuntu and Debian, the apt repository instructions linked above are indeed the best option for seamless updates. Alternatively, if you prefer a graphical setup, you can search for ‘Sublime Text’ directly in Linux Mint’s Software Manager. Also, you can evaluate Sublime Text fully without an upfront license to see if it fits your workflow.
