Where is my New User of the Month trophy?

Three weeks ago I was surprised by this lovely PN:

Congratulations, you’ve earned the New User of the Month award for August 2017. :trophy:

This award is only granted to two new users per month, and it will be permanently visible on your user page.

You’ve quickly become a valuable member of our community. Thanks for joining, and keep up the great work!

Yet, as far as I can tell the award never showed up on my user page. Can you confirm or is it just myself not seeing it? Now my ego really suffers from the trophy not being shown and sadly the admin did not reply to my PM.

I think awards (or badges) are disabled on this installation of discourse.

They are only for gamification and don’t provide any value, anyway.

I’ve never recieved any trophies on this forum, and I’m pretty active so I’m pretty that sure what @FichteFoll says is true

@kingkeith Regarding your contribution to the forum you should be extensively decorated by now for sure! :thumbsup:

@FichteFoll I agree, those trophies may be fun, but the rewarding mechanism appears arbitrary. They add no real value. Still, it is mandatory to disable the awarding notifications, like the one I received. It is irritating getting awarded, yet never receiving the award. :smile:
