What is the name of the right "scroll" or "panel" or "preview" with the text preview and how to turn it off?

When I open a document a mini preview panel or scroller, or ( I don’t know what it is called )

how do I turn it off ?

That’s the minimap; the command palette contains View: Toggle Minimap, and there is also an item for it in the View menu, which will be named Hide Minimap if it’s currently visible.
