Weird "Voids" Appearing in Files

#1

I can’t create giff’s on my machine, but hopefully these two shots show the problem:

And freshly installed state (so it isn’t a package)

Also the cursor just dissappears, if I go to the bottom of the void (to the first place there’s text) and place delete, nothing happens except the cursor dissappears into the void…

Maybe it’s connected to Syntax Definition for Non Generic File Extensions but I haven’t actually done anything about it, except rename the file to read.Mecpp…

Also if I rename the file to me.cpp the problem goes away, it seems to be with an unregonised file extension, which is a pest…

Does it happen in safe mode? What’s actually on those lines?

ST3 (and before you say ST(4) 32 bit) so did freshly installed state

And what’s on those lines, well nothing. It is as you see. Having had a complete reinstall of the user folder, made no difference either…

I actually suspect that that line is a super long line with space chars.

Ah ha well done, d’oh.

Thank you !

Now all I’ve got to do is find my missing packages, seems to be all of them

Ps The wierd thing was they didn’t appear when the format was something ST3 recognised eg .cpp, which was what was throwing me from the now obvious
