Weird sub-menu after installing a custom theme

#1

greeting,

first of all, i really love ST2, it’s my favorite text editor by trillion.

i recently used a custom theme made for TextMate http://textmatetheme.com/ .
after that, i got weirds sub-menus as you can see in this screenshot:

http://s7.postimage.org/etthrubgn/weird_menu.jpg

as you can see, i used ctrl + shift + P to get access to the package control.
as well as the folder menu at the left side isent showing, or is very dark.

Do you know how to fix that ??

thanks in advance guys

First of all, Sublime Text 2 uses two different files to control its appearance.

Color Schemes: A Sublime Text 2 colorscheme uses the same format as a Textmate theme. This misnomer causes a bit of confusion. Colorschemes only control the appearance of text in a view (and the background colors of course)

Themes: Sublime Text themes control the appearance of pretty much everything else. They affect the colors in the sidebar, file/replace panel, console, quickpanel, command palette, etc. Sublime has a default theme and there is also the popular Soda Theme.

Therefore, installing a textmate theme should not affect the appearance of the command palette.

To get this cleared up: where did you put the custom theme? It should be in “Color Scheme - Default”
What did you change in your settings file? You should have something like: "color_scheme": "Packages/Color Scheme - Default/[NAME].tmTheme"

hi COD312

i used the same technique as for SODA Theme, i’ve changed only 1 file which target the SODA theme folder, nothing more, and after that i got this weird black sub-menu and all others too

in the settings file i have

"color_scheme": "Packages/Color Scheme - Default/Monokai.tmTheme",

at the moment !

i deleted ST2 and installed it again and nothing changed !
