Weird replacement

#1

2.0.2 build 2221 64 bit on Ubuntu

Currently, when I replace text with options “Case sensitive” and “Whole word” activated, like this:

hellothere => HelloThere

I will get random old text fragments in front of the new text. It’s doing:

hellothere => someoldstuffHelloThere

To be more precise, there’s also newlines between the random old text fragment and the correct replacement. It looks like bug, or something like hidden text in the “Replace With:” field. Anyway, I don’t understand it.

Thanks a lot, kind regards
Mark

PS: I think it came because I created a multiline-line inside the “Replace With:” field by pressing some modifier key + enter. That was when I tried to press the short-cut for “Replace All”.

Can you go to the replace field, select all, and press delete? Alternatively, can you grab the top of the replace panel and drag up to expand it?

Yes, this works and makes it a lot easier. I see I had accidently created a multi-line entry, sorry, my fault. :smile:
Many thanks,
