If I shift V on a line and then enter 30 for instance it goes to line 29. It should go to 30.
Vintage shift g oes to line number 1 less than requested

I would like to make sure. You say that if you “V30” you go to line 29 correct? (BTW that’s how Vimmers show command mode stuff, notice how it’s just an uppercase ‘V’ instead of ‘Shift+v’.
)
First off, this is incorrect, just typing “30” should not move you to a certain line. Only if you do “30G”, which could be read as “Goto line #30”.
Can you confirm that you don’t need to type the “G”?
If this is the case. Then there’s another problem to cope with first, and that’s incorrect commands. lol

I can confirm than doing, e.g:
1GV30G
only selects the 29 first lines instead of 30, as it happens in vim.
Just doing 30G though, puts you correctly on line 30
