Vintage Mode Ignores vintage_start_in_command_mode Setting

Newbie to Sublime Text here. I’m just kicking the tyres at the mo’…

I’ve enabled Vintage mode as per the instructions to remove it from "ignored_packages" and have also added the "vintage_start_in_command_mode": true option to my user prefs. However, although Sublime Text is starting in vintage mode, it’s also starting in insert mode.

Any ideas why this might be?

  • OSX 10,11,16
  • Sublime Text Build 3126

EDIT:

Cancel that. I just discovered Vintageous, which seems to be working fine.

I have the same problem as the OP with the built-in Vintage package.
"vintage_start_in_command_mode": true simply doesn’t work.

  • Windows 7 x86
