I would love to see minihtml support animated gifs. I am using phantoms to show images inline in my orgextended plugin. I am adding animated gifs in the docs as they show each of the features in play, it would be great if they would animate in sublime as well as in a published document.

It’s certainly possible, but not currently high priority. The best way to increase priority would be to add a feature request to our issue tracker, allowing others to add their support towards getting a feature added.
