Vanishing NTFS ADS

I’m using a file manager that can attach NTFS ADS to add some flags to files. Now, if I make changes to a file and save it in eg. Notepad those flags are retained. However, saving the file in Sublime Text will remove that metadata.

Is this intentional/by design? Is there a way to disable that behavior?

ps: I know atomic save can have such side-effects, but I have atomic save disabled.

Hmm. If I understand it correctly this issue has been unresolved for more than 4 and a half year. Does not fill me with confidence… :frowning_face: Anyway, thanks for the link, @deathaxe
