Upgrade packed package to unpacked package

Is it possible to upgrade packed package to unpacked package(.no-sublime-package) ?
In testing, the previous xxx.sublime-package file remains in Installed Package after upgrading.

Package Control should be able to handle this. If it doesn’t, it’s a bug.

Do you mean Package Control should erase previous xxx.sublime-package when upgrading ?
But it doesn’t in my test. Is there a way to unload previous packed xxx.sublime-package to erase ?

I suggest creating an issue for this on the Package Control repository, so I can be tracked properly. Ideally include steps for reproduction.
