Underscores not showing after updating to build 3148

As an example:

Underscores in the file do not show. The last line should be rm -rf __pycache__, but it is displayed with the underscores hidden.
I am on Linux, Fedora 26 to be exact.

does it make a difference if you add "line_padding_bottom": 1 to your user preferences?

At first blush I can’t replicate that on my Linux box (Slackware) running 3148. Does changing the font face or size have any effect?

It may be specific to the font. What font do you use?

Oddly enough, the underscores return when I zoom in or out.
I don’t know why. The option in the settings that @kingkeith suggested does not fix it.

I am using the default font. I did not change the font, unless my system dictated which font I am using.
