Unable to Set Sublime Text as a Default Editor
After selecting the sublime_text.exe file, you should see the Sublime Text name and icon in the first Open with dialog in the Other Programs section. I don’t see that entry in your video!
There may be problems/bugs in your Windows, and this almost certainly has nothing to do with Sublime Text.
Try on another file type. Do you see the Sublime Text entry? Try to select another executable (other editor or application), do you see that new entry in the Open with dialog?
P.S. the exact same procedure perfectly works for me. (Win 7 x64)
Previously sublime text 2 was installed therefore I installed sublime text 3 in a new folder newsublimetext3 → Folder Name; But later I deleted it and the folder name also, but now it can’t take the default editor as sublime text 3; Could this be a registry issue?
Yes it is. Open your registry editor regedit and search for sublime and delete the relevant keys. After this, normally go to your files and to Open With and set it as the default editor.
It was a registry Issue after deleting the registries as suggested by you, it started working.
