UI Update - Status bar / panel idea

#1

I think we can all agree that we use Sublime Text because it is reliable and powerful. After trying all the new editors most come back to this editor because it just always works.

I am curious if there is a plan to maybe make the UI a little more up to date. For some actions the message back is put in the status bar at the bottom of the editor and if you do not look fast enough it goes away before you can read it. Is it possible to implement a panel or dropdown that can display the messages for such tasks like git commands and linting.

While most of the editors competing against Sublime do not compare in the speeds and reliability, they do succeed in making the editor user experience easier. That being said, loyal Sublime user regardless

Maybe toast notifications and a history of the last x items?
