Ugly ctrl-p search box

Who designed this? Why do I want a bright gray search box when everything else is supposed to be dark?
How do I style this thing?

I guess that depends on your taste. You can easily install and switch to a theme that you more like. It’s up to you.

Here is my Ctrl+P box.

Try the Adaptive theme. The Default theme uses light grey for all non-editor control chrome.
