Ubuntu 19.10 - "ValueError: SSL support not available" after installing Sublime Text and sublime Merge

#1

Hello!

I’m having a bad time on a fresh Ubuntu 19.10 installation. Yesterday I suffered this problem without knowing the source. After hours of trying to fix it, I’ve decided to reinstall.

After trying to install every PPA I need, I started installing the Sublime one. And only after adding the Sublime’s remote, updating and installing, I’ve got the same error when I run an add-apt-repository:

The thing is, uninstalling, removing the ppa and updating will not help at all. Shoukld I reinstall again from scratch and use Sublime from a Snap?

It looks like your python 3.7 interpreter doesn’t find the required ssl library. You might might need to install openssl or libressl - not sure what python wants.
