I believe I’m experiencing inconsistent autocomplete behaviour (I mean I know I’m not but I can’t see the consistency hence ‘believe’).
Sometimes I can type <p and hit enter and be left with a cursor between a nice complete pair of paragraph tags, at other times it’s not until I start closing an open tag that autocomplete triggers with the rest of the close tag.
I’d prefer the first method as I’ve been getting used to it.
I realise it’s my lack of understanding of the program and I’ve made it worse for myself by trying installed and portable version of both 2 and 3 on two different machines, experimented with running it from a network and using dropbox to keep settings consistent… I couldn’t follow a tortoise after that.
