Trying to understand the project feature

#1

Hello all:

I am new to sublime and so far I really like it. I’m using it primarily for web development. My question is in regards to setting up projects. With other IDEs you first create a project and then add folder/files to the project. I’m finding with Sublime you are creating the folders and the files and then saving them as a project. It’s almost counter-intuitive for me. My questions are:

  1. Is this how Sublime works? Am I doing something wrong?
  2. When ever I start Sublime, it loads the last project; is this behavior typical? How do I create a blank new project with no files?
  3. What is the difference between a project and a workspace.

I’m sure I have other questions regarding the concept of the ‘project’, but right now answers to these would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
