The idea of macros is something that looks very useful to me, but I’m having major issues getting useful behavior out of them.
What I record is mostly very different from what the output of the playback is.

First macro recording, 00:00 - 00:25:
I’m using Emmet’s “Wrap selection with tag”. First off it plays back on the first line, not the current, second the HTML is broken.
Second macro recording, 00:33 - 00:55
This time I’m trying the same as in the first recording. The resulting HTML is just as bad, but at least it plays back on the same line. Not sure what’s been done differently.
Third macro recording, 01:00 - 01:23
Now I’m trying to write the html manually without using the Emmet function, but the closing of the tags happens automatically as I type </.
This time the result makes more sense to me, as the playback only contains the stuff I’ve actually written, not the autocompleted parts.
So the questions are; am I doing something obviously wrong, or are macros just a bit buggy in the current version? Are there anything I can do to make macros work better when the recording consists of “automagic”?
I’m using ST3 Build 3059.
