i’m new to sublime text and need help. I’ve created an html file and saved it in a folder. each time i modify the code and save it, sublime creates new file of this html instead of updating the original one. How do i fix it?

Which OS are you using and which version of Sublime Text? Have you tried reverting to a freshly installed state? Are you simply opening the file, editing it and saving it?

Windows 10, the latest version I guess cause I downloaded it like a couple of days ago. Yes, I simply open the file, edit it and save it, then it creates the new file instead of updating the original. View in browser plugin shortcut does the same thing Idkw

You can view the build number under Help>About Sublime Text. What’s the name of the new file that it creates? Have you tried reverting to a freshly installed state?
