This app can't run on your PC Error

I am running a 64-bit machine and downloaded the 64-bit Windows installer. The install went fine and I am able to open up Sublime Text 3. However, when I attempt to right-click on a file and select “Open with Sublime Text”, I receive the following error:

This app can’t run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher.

However, if I open up Sublime Text 3 and either select the file through the File >> Open File menu option or drag it over to the program, it opens just fine.

I have attempted everything I have found on the Internet to no avail. Opening a file via the context menu did work until a couple of windows updates ago.

Does anyone know of a solution or workaround?

EDIT: I use the exact same installer on my 64-bit Windows 10 laptop and have not had any problem utilizing the context menu to open files.

ANSWER: For those of you looking for an answer to the issue above, a workaround is to download the portable version of Sublime Text and add the following bat files to the install folder with the sublime_text.exe file.
