Text/font is pixelated and black on dark background (almost unreadable) after installing Mac OS High Sierra.

It’s actually black text on the dark background, but when taking a screen shot the text turns white in the screen shot for some reason.

You can still see the pixelated text though. It’s only a problem with Sublime Text 2 (Version 2.0.2 Build 2221)

ST 2 is deprecated, consider using ST3.

Please, it will be useful if this bug is solved. It is hardly impossible to use Sublime Text 2 on High Sierra. The text color is dark grey and the background black. Changing the theme doesn’t help.
I’d like this bug to be solved as I recently purchased a license for version 2.

is that even possible?

Sublime Text 2 is not supported in any fashion on High Sierra. Apple removed Python 2.6 from the OS, which is what Sublime Text 2 used for its API, so various things break in funny ways if you try to run it.

Your only option is to run ST3. As long as you purchased a license within the last four an half years, you already have a license for Sublime Text 3.0.

Try the following:

  1. Go to Preferences -> Settings-Default
  2. Find the property named “gpu_window_buffer”
  3. Make sure the property value is “true” (default is “auto”)
  4. Save the file and restart the application.
