Text Colors only work when selected (highlighted)

The custom color feature for JS files is not working properly. The proper colors only show up when the text is highlighted. When not highlighted, many things group together into one color. I don’t believe any of my plugins is causing this.

Any suggestions as to how this issue can be resolved

What “custom color feature” are you talking about? Is this provided by a package (certainly looks like it)? If yes, which one?
