Text Color Change

#1

Is there a command to be entered that would change a specified piece of text a different color? For example, I have a draft of an essay I am writing. I have used the % command throughout for paragraphs I might use later or never again. But as I’m going back through and revising a second time, the color of my text (due to the color scheme) is the default color and therefore the same. Is there a command that will let me change the color of specific paragraphs? Something like \color? (That’s just an example, as I know that is a command from the xcolor package that changes the color of the pdf text, which is what I do NOT want to do.) Having a different color for some paragraphs of text would help me see what I am adding to my essay in this second go-around and help me stay organized. Thanks!

PS: Since I’m writing an essay, this is tex file stuff, if that changes anything.
