Sync packages - portable version

Hi,
I’m trying to sync my Sublime from Windows to Linux. I’ve read this article about it.

When I installed Sublime to my Linux machine, I copied Packages/User/ folder to Data folder. But when I open Sublime, package control doesn’t do anything. I also tried copying just “Package Control.sublime-settings” file instead of whole folder, but without luck. I’m using portable version of Sublime, so all my settings are in Data folder inside Sublime’s folder. Could that be the problem? Anyone else tried syncing their packages using portable version?

You have put the User folder as a subfolder of Packages inside your Data folder, i.e. Data/Packages/User/Package Control.sublime-settings?
