Switch tab and pane at once

I often have different files open on different panes. Using Cmd + P to switch leads to opening a new file in the current pane, while that file has already opened in another pane. Is there a way similar to Cmd + P that I am missing, or extra package is also great, that switch and open new file only when it is not currently opened anywhere in the project.
