openssl is eol. Will not install on RHEL, AlmaLinux, RockyLinux, NixOS and on and on. Looks like no one at Sublime HQ has an answer. It would nice to hear “WE HAVE A PLAN” but I have not seen it. I own a license for Text and Merge. Money down the drain if i have to switch to VSCodium or Zed. Nobody wants to run insecure software.

I saw this. Nobody says this will be resolved or they’re even working on solution.

We don’t use the systems OpenSSL but instead bundle our own, so Sublime Text will continue to be installable and work. The plan is to phase out the 3.3 plugin host so that we can eventually upgrade OpenSSL.

RHEL beta and friends wont install . You need to update-crypto-policies -set LEGACY
to get dnf to install. Problem with gpg key maybe
