I’ve just downloaded Sublime Text 4 for the Mac it’s not working correctly. This is on an iMac (apple silicon).
After I launch Sublime the program will become unresponsive after about 30 seconds. Looking at the activity monitor Sublime with be using over 80% CPU while just sitting idle. This happens consistently.
I have tried re-downloading and reinstalling Sublime and the same problem still happens.
Is it possible that the Mac version 4126 is broken somehow?
Does that also happen in Safe Mode? In what situation is this happening? Does it happen if you just Start Sublime? Have you done something like open a folder (and if so, is it something with thousands or more files and subfolders in it)?
Ok, this problem does not happen when I’m in “Safe Mode”.
Does this mean I should delete my data directory to get back to a Freshly Installed State?

You can use the "ignored_packages" to narrow down the culprit if you don’t want to start fresh.
For the record, in case anyone is searching this in the future, this problem was solved by following the instructions to go back to a Freshly Installed State. Everything is working fine now.
