Sublime Text on Solaris?

#1

Hi!

I’m new to the forums and had a question on Sublime Texts compatibility. It says that it’s available on 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Linux, but does that also include Solaris? My organization runs SUN/Solaris on SPARC servers.

If Sublime Text is compatible on SUN/Solaris, which versions would it be compatible on? (Solaris 10, 11, etc)

Thank you again for everyone’s time!

try it?
if it’s a standard Linux distro and an x86 cpu then it should work I guess

If you do not have access now to a Solaris OS, you could run a virtual machine with Solaris on your PC to perform the tests.

If it’s Solaris running on an actual SPARC machine, I think you’re out of luck. However if you’re running under an x86 flavoured processor it may work since in those situations Solaris supports the Linux ABI through SCLA (assuming you have a new enough version of Solaris).

It’s been a long time since I used Solaris so my information is likely out of date though. As others have said, the best way to know is to try.
