Sublime Text constantly hitting cpu at 17%

#1

Using ST 3.2, ST wont be quiet. It is constantly running in the background at 17-10% cpu.
On latest macOs and nothing is running. how get ST to stop this behavior?

The git intregation is neat, but not this constant running in the background!
I now have to shut down ST to save battery. ST is now one my biggest energy drains on the
battery.

There are some known bugs in the latest macOS’s opengl implementations, which might cause this issue.

You could try to set "gpu_window_buffer": false to workaround it (hopefully).

Did it, the problem is still there.

The https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/3/revert.html describes how to completely reset ST to a freshly installed state, but I’d use the docs to find the data directory and remove the content of the Cache directory first to make sure ST doesn’t struggle with a malformed cache file somehow.

Otherwise you’d need to check your plugins. Maybe one of them creates a background thread which doesn’t go idle for some reason.

Maybe rename the data directory first to run without any plugin and see whether the issue persists, but I guess not.
