New Mac with an M1 chip, running Monterey 12.4. When launching subl or smerge from the terminal, they launch as if the -b flag is passed (but it is not).

I can’t reproduce this on Monterey 12.4. What version of Sublime Text are you using? Did you follow the documentation for setting up the command line utility? Perhaps you have a third party application affecting focus?

Sublime Text 4126 and Sublime Merge 2074 (it happens for both). I’ve followed the documentation to extend my path with the /Applications/* paths. I am using Fish shell.
I can reproduce it with just iTerm running as a foreground application (or Apple Terminal). For background applications I have:
- Docker
- Hammerspoon
- Google Drive
I’ll update this if I can find any additional details.
