The latest version of Sublime Text is no longer showing the number of found items in the status bar. When I search for text the status bar only shows the number of characters selected, something I don’t care about. I want to know how many matches were found.
The issue is not due to the size of file. I’ve tested with tiny files with only a few lines of text, but still the number of matches aren’t known.
I found old postings saying to change these settings to zero:
“find_highlight_matches_max_size”: 0
“find_in_files_max_result_size”: 0
However, obviously those had no effect since I can’t even get the number of matches to show up for even files with just a few lines.
Does anyone know how to fix this? I’ve used Sublime Text for at least 10 years and this is the first issue I’ve ever had where I had to come find support.
