Sublime Text 3131 hugging ~ 5% cpu while idle

#1

I am on debian stretch / linux 4.9 / gnome 3.22 using sublime text 3131 (not sure whether this problem existed before, only realized right now after upgrade).

During idle in a very small project (only 4 files, so no indexing issue) I get subl spinning at around 2% cpu and as a consequence also gnome-shell.

When tracing the sublime text process I get a constant flow of

Any body else experiencing this? Let me know if any more debug output is needed.

I would suggest to try it in a clean state https://www.sublimetext.com/docs/3/revert.html , because I assume it is an installed package.

Thanks for the hint.

Seems to be a material theme issue.

And was in fact already reported to that plugin

I seem to be having this issue as well, but I stay around 2.5% CPU when in the editor view while idle. I disabled the material theme but unfortunately this issue still persists. I actually thought this was “standard behavior” for Sublime Text.

Yeah, for me it seems the material theme just also makes it appear if the window is not focused.

Without the material theme it’s only there if the window is focused.

Still seeing the same problem in 3132.
