Sublime Text 3 Build 3197 exits immediately when OBS is open

Hello,

I have noticed that Sublime will not run anytime that OBS (the streaming software, obsproject.com) is open. Normally I stream my coding sessions, however, this makes it impossible.

This is the first time I’ve used the forum, so I hope I’m using it right! This is the only place I saw to report bugs.

What platform are you running on?

What os/architecture are you on? Have you tried it with a clean install to see if there is any interaction with a package that you use? Did it work prior to this dev build?

Anecdotally, I use Obs to live stream Sublime coding sessions once a week from my Linux machine, and it has always worked perfectly for me (my coding, not so much ;)) all through the latest dev series up to and including build 3197.

Hi,

I am just another user (not someone with internal knowledge of Sublime Text) who also happens to be a coder.

I would go ahead, before anyone with more knowledge comes along, and say that more information about your setup would be useful.

  • Which OS and version are you using? Windows 7,8,10? MacOS version? Linux? (Distro and version)

  • What is the behavior when Sublime Text is already opened and you launch OBS? What is the behavior when the order is reversed?

  • If you can provide more information that could also be useful.

Some random information (note: I use OBS extensively, but not normally on my development machine):

  • Works fine on Mac with an older version and the most current version of OBS
  • Doesn’t seem to matter whether I have a scene setup or not. So in other words, I can successfully capture Sublime within OBS and it’s fine, albeit oddly slow
