I deleted all my files in ~/.config/sublime-text3 but still subl3 behaves very unresponsively and is continuously lagging.
It is only the buffer itself. The menu does not show any lags. I am using build 3047 on Arch Linux.

This is the one I initially meant. Yet I discovered that this hanging behaviour does not only occur in Sublime Text 3 but all other Qt apps too. It does not occur in GTK apps. Any idea why this could be?
Problem resolved!
I had to enabling composting effects. In this case I am using compton now.
