Sublime text 2 instead of 3 ubuntu confusion

Hi, I’m trying to download sublime text 3 for Ubuntu but each time that i install it, in the title bar it tells me sublime text 2
what is wrong?

Did you previously have Sublime Text 2 installed? There is a bug/unwanted feature in the default Launcher app that comes with Ubuntu that means it caches the first “title” it comes across.

From within Sublime Text, you can go to the Help menu -> About Sublime Text to check what version you are actually running.

It’s version 2, i don’t know what is happening. I’ve downloaded version 3, but its installing version 2.
