Sublime SFTP not prompting for password on ST3. Just me?

#1

Hi folks,

It looks like @wbond hangs out here, so hoping he, or someone else, can help. I emailed him over two weeks ago with no response.

I’ve just switched from ST2 to ST3. I love the SFTP package and use it a lot.

On ST2 I had the password field commented out in my sftp-config.json files and it would prompt me for a password. On ST3 this is not happening.

Is this just me? Have I done something wrong? Is it a bug, or is there some way I can get my password prompts back in ST3?

Thanks

Ross

Oh, I should probably say, this is ST3 build 3126 on macOS 10.12.3 (on a 2013 MacBook Pro)

Oh. Hah. I’m sorted. I’m using Material theme and didn’t RTFM.

Discourse won’t let me post another link, but the Issue 67 of equinusocio/material-theme on GitHub has the details.

Resolved. Thanks.

I had the same problem on ST3. It really should have been more clear to me at first, but it was a simple overlook.

On a fresh install of ST3 on Win 10, the prompt and port lines are both commented out on the sftp-config.json file. After removing the “//” marks it worked as it should.

I dont know how ST2 was doing the prompts, or why it would have prompted for password with the lines commented out (if i’m understanding what OP said), but on ST3 the lines needed to be live, and the prompt was on the bottom of the window… a bit less intrusive than the standard window prompt.
