Sublime-session.sublime

#1

Hi.

I have lost a certain data using sublime. I accidentally didnt save the file. I have done some deep scan and I have backed up the sublime-session.sublime file extension to the date where I’m suspecting I have deleted the file. However, I can’t access the file and all I can see is numbers. What are the things should I considered and things that I need to do so. I really need this badly. Thank you!

The Sublime session file is standard JSON. To me that doesn’t look like the recovery succeeded, at least not fully.

Could I convert it in to a text file?

JSON is a normal text file. The problem seems to be that your session file isn’t a valid one, because it is a binary file and not a normal text file with JSON content.

Hello, everyone.

I still need your help with this matter. I still can’t find a way to decrypt the file. Please help :frowning:

It’s not encrypted, it’s damaged. You could try opening it in something like Notepad that may not care about whether the file appears to be binary or not, to see if that gets you anywhere.

Generally speaking though, if the file has been corrupted then the content that was in it and corrupted is lost and likely irretrievable.
