Sublime opens projects on the wrong display

Every time I open sublime projects it opens in the macbook screen and I have to move the window to the external monitor.

I would like sublime text to open new projects on the monitor that currently has the focus. Other apps I use like iTerm does this perfectly.

Is there something I can turn on/off in my configuration to make this happen or is it a feature that needs to be developed?

I think it needs to be developed, at least nobody has posted any workarounds on the issue tracker:
